Help Us Better Connect With Our Youth

Contribute To #GivingTuesdayNow For A Replacement Van

We’ve been operating without our 15 passenger school van since earlier in the year. For transportation in the interim, we have rented a van several times but can’t afford to continue. The van was pivotal to our operations and programming.

The van was used for:

  • Our Afterschool Outreach Program

  • Transportation to our Sweat Lodge, twice a month which is critically important to our trauma based programming

  •  Transportation on day trips (classroom field trips, student rallies, provincial government events)

  • Transporting food and supplies for whole school field trips in and around Edmonton

  • Transportation to cultural excursions (such as Indigenous Day festivities, annual day camps/year end field celebrations)

  • Long trips to cultural landmarks in Alberta (Blue Quills University, Head-Smashed-In Buffalo Jump, Writing-on-Stone Provincial Park, Jasper, etc.)

  • During emergencies (to return staff or students to school from field trips in case of distress)

With the Covid-19 pandemic our students are facing increased isolation and our transportation needs have only grown as students and staff are learning remotely. We are delivering nutritious lunches to students weekdays in an ad hoc manner. A van would allow us to be more efficient and also serve with transportation as listed above.

Can you help? We are raising money to purchase a replacement van. We know this is a very difficult time for many people, and so we ask only that you think of us and help if you can. Click the button below to contribute on our Foundation’s secure site. (You can also call in your credit card to 587.442.1769)

We thank you for your generosity.

Thank You Grand Chief Willie Littlechild & The Edmonton Oilers Community Foundation

We would like to thank Grand Chief Willie Littlechild & the Oilers Community Foundation for their recent $1,000 Christmas Giving donation.

Grand Chief Willie Littlechild and the Oiler’s Community Foundation have long supported creating a stronger future for marginalized youth in Edmonton. Since its inception in 2001, the EOCF has contributed over $40 million to more than 2,900 charities, community groups and minor hockey programs throughout Edmonton and Northern Alberta. We are one of those charities — Inner City High School.

We appreciate the continued support from Grand Chief Willie Littlechild & the Oilers Community Foundation.
