Staff and students visited the Indigenous Peoples Experience at Fort Edmonton Park. Indigenous Studies teacher, Russell, who coordinated the trip, said it was a truly extraordinary visit that left a lasting impression on students. The immersive journey into Indigenous cultures and history captivated attendees’ hearts and minds and school Elder Marjorie's presence on the outing further enriched discussions and exhibits. We are grateful to Evert Poor, the Indigenous Narratives Supervisor, for extending the invitation to our school and to presenters Pamela, Ben, and all the staff we met in the pavillion. Their warm hospitality made our visit positive and memorable.
