For their final project about globalization and identity, Destiny Moyah and Siarra Johnson Scanie planned and prepared their favorite food, tacos in a bag for the entire school! 

Two weeks prior, they conducted two whole school surveys. The first gathered data about whether students preferred black or red Doritos and the second one gathered data about salsa preference. Staff and students were asked to select whether they prefer their salsa, mild medium or not spicy at all.   Based on the information collected, they prepared three types of salsa, guacamole, and taco meat and served 53 people tacos in a bag. 

This project also included the history of the ingredients (old world or new world) and the origins of the "walking taco". A huge shoutout to our school cook Alicia who assisted in preparation, taught the students how to prepare food safely and time management when serving a crowd.
