Inner City High School Remaining Open

Dear Student, Parents and Guardians,

As you may have heard, grades 7 to 12 in Alberta are moving to online learning next week. However, Alberta Education allows specific non-traditional schools like Inner City High School to keep operating.

Since we reopened in the fall, our students and staff have put in a tremendous effort to keep the school safe by following strict health guidance. This gives us confidence to continue providing in-school learning. These are challenging times, but we feel closing the school will only make things harder for those we serve.

We will continue to run the school on the schedule that we had planned.

  • December 16, 2020 - Christmas Lunch (in classrooms)

  • December 17, 2020 - Christmas Gifts and Leftovers Pick-Up

  • December 18, 2020 - Half Day - Catch up and Clean up

  • December 21, 2020 to January 1, 2021 - Christmas Break – No School

  • January 4, 2021 - School Resumes At School

If required, students can access classes remotely by computer or on mobile phone.

This situation and rules are subject to change according to Alberta Health Services announcements. We will keep you up to date. Please check our Facebook page and the News Section of our website at https://innercity.ca/blog  for up-to-date information.
