$2.9 Million NetZero Retrofit Grant Awarded...

Today the Honourable Randy Boissonnault, MP for Edmonton Centre, Minister of Tourism and Associate Minister of Finance announced that Inner City High School would receive monies to support renovations to reduce the school’s carbon footprint and lower costs linked to the building’s operation. Joe Cloutier spoke of the importance of this grant to our continued operations, flanked by staff who were once program members themselves.

  • We thank the Elders and the youth who attended today.

  • We also thank Lance Cardinal for his energy as the event's MC.

  • We thank ICYDA Board Vice Chair, Patrick Twinn, for his thoughtful Land Acknowledgement.

  • We thank our staff for assisting to make the event a success.

  • We thank Reimagine Architects for their patience and guidance on the project.

  • We also wish to slip in a thank you to the Edmonton Oilers Community Foundation for all their continued and previous support of our programming. Without them, we'd have no building to renovate!
